Nov. 15 (American Fellowships).

Overview:
The AAUW administers two fellowship programs:  one for domestic and one for international women doctoral students.


American Fellowships

*         Support women scholars completing doctoral dissertations or conducting postdoctoral research

*         Recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Doctoral

*         Must complete dissertation writing between July 1 2012 and June 30, 2013.

*         Degree conferral between April 1 and Sept. 15 2013.

*         Open to all fields.

*         Scholars engaged in science, technology, engineering and math and also researching gender issues are especially encouraged to apply.

Postdoctoral:

*         1 yr support for women in tenure-track positions

*         Must have earned doctoral degree by Nov. 5, 2011

*         Available for the arts and humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences

International Fellowships

*         Supports full-time study or research in the US.

*         Supports graduate and postgraduate study.
