The position is housed in ISU's Division of Health Sciences and within the Kasiska School of Health Professions. It is a 9 month, tenure-track position on the ISU-Pocatello campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: The position requires the new hire to teach master's and doctoral level CACREP core and specialty classes, supervise master's and doctoral student clinical internships, advise master's and doctoral students, and successfully write grants and submissions of manuscripts for publication and conference presentation. Service to the institution and professional organizations is also expected. Some distance learning is required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications include a doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program or a doctorate in counselor education and teaching experience in a CACREP accredited program. Ability to teach CACREP core courses and specialty experiences in marital, couple and family counseling, and/or mental health counseling, and/or school counseling. Ability to supervise clinical experiences at both the master's and doctoral levels. Desire and ability to establish an active research agenda to include grant acquisition, publication and presentations. Service to the university and professional organizations. The successful applicant must be eligible for licensure in the state of Idaho as a licensed professional counselor.
