Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

Subject: Research Invitation for School Counseling Internship Students

Dear Professor,

My name is O'Tasha Morgan. I am a professional school counselor and a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of South Carolina. I am conducting an online quantitative study entitled, "An Examination of School Counseling Interns' Satisfaction with Their Career Choice as Predicted by Self-Efficacy and Roles Performed in Internship" under the supervision of Dr. Kathy Evans.

I am requesting permission for your school counseling internship students to participate in my dissertation study. If you are not the correct faculty member, I would appreciate it if you would forward to the correct person. The purpose of this study is to predict how satisfied school counseling interns are with their career choice based upon their self-efficacy and activities performed in internship.

Participants will not be asked to provide any identifying information or for their university affiliation. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of the University of South Carolina.

If you agree to allow your students to participate please forward the attached research invitation or the survey link below, which includes a document for consent and a link to the survey to your students' e-mail addresses. In one week, I will resend this information to you and ask that you again forward it to your students in an effort to recruit students who did not respond to the first invitation.

If you are interested in reviewing the survey, please click the following Survey Monkey link (press CTRL and click link): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MorganDissertation2011
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

O'Tasha L. Morgan, Ed.S., NBPTS
