Overview:
Offers supplementary grants of up to $10,000 USD to students from select countries in Southeastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Mongolia, the Middle/Near East, and South Asia.

The purpose of the program is to enable qualified students to pursue doctoral studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences at accredited universities throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle/Near East, and North America.

Eligibility:
Must be citizen of one of the following countries:
Albania, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

UG and Master's students going on to pursue a doctorate degrees. Students admitted to master's programs with the intent to continue, but who are not clearly admitted into a Ph.D. program, are ineligible.
