This note is to inform you of Writing courses that may be of interest to your graduate students this SPRING quarter. One course focuses on Thesis/Dissertation Writing, while the other 2 courses focus on academic writing in general.

Please announce these courses to your graduate students. They are also offered in the summer and all quarters of the academic year.

Course writing assignments and topics: idea organization, development, & revising;  writing in an academic style; and using sources accurately & effectively
ELIP 514-Advanced Graduate Writing, 3 credit hours

Course writing assignments and topics: summaries, literature reviews, & critiques; citation of sources & avoiding plagiarism; and academic style, vocabulary, & critical reading
 ELIP 512-Introduction to Graduate Writing, 3 credit hours

Course writing assignments and topics-this class is for international students: summaries & essays; citation of sources & avoiding plagiarism; contextualized grammar, vocabulary development, & advanced reading
