This is a full time, nine-month position beginning September 2011. Responsibilities: Husson University is seeking a colleague who is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to join the faculty in Counseling and Human Relations. This position will serve the following programs housed in the School of Education: MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling MS in Human Relations MS in School Counseling MS in Pastoral Counseling Responsibilities include teaching core and elective graduate courses. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate level counseling classes, supervise practicum and internship, advise and mentor students, and engage in scholarship, and professional and university service. In keeping with Husson's mission to serve rural students in remote and underserved areas, some teaching will involve the use of distance technology and travel to Husson's outreach campuses. Qualifications: Required: Earned doctorate in Counselor Education or closely related field (ABD with significant progress toward completion may be considered). Experience in teaching and supervising graduate counseling students. Evidence of quality teaching and experience in Clinical or School Counseling. Must be licensed or license-eligible as a counselor in Maine. Preferred: Experience teaching in a Counselor Education program. Graduate of CACREP accredited institution. Experience with process of initial CACREP accreditation. An established research agenda. Experience in use of distance education methodology and technology. Compensation: Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and level of experience.
