Counselor/Clinical Supervisor
UCD Student and Community Counseling Center
Position Number: 00700547
Nature of Work
Counselor and Clinical Supervisor in the UCD Student and Community Counseling Center. This position will fall under the Office of Student Affairs and under the School of Education and Human Development. Position will provide culturally competent mental health services.

Professional Field
Mental Health Counseling, Higher Education and Student Affairs

Supervision Exercised
This position provides live behind-the-glass supervision and individual supervision for students and/or interns in the Masters Counseling Program.

Examples of Work Performed


 *   Provide, brief direct service counseling for CU Denver students
 *   On-call emergency coverage approximately 7 weeks per year
 *   Live behind-the-glass supervision
 *   Individual supervision for counseling practicum students and/or interns
 *   Evaluate recorded supervisee sessions
 *   Participate in weekly staff meetings
 *   Participate in all case conferences regarding student progress
 *   Participate and facilitate group counseling
 *   Conduct client intake evaluations
 *   Keep accurate, timely records that comply with all state laws and ethical guidelines
 *   Coordinate Center's addictions prevention programming on campus
 *   Participate in marketing, outreach and campus awareness activities as requested
 *   Consultation and training for other campus groups
 *   Culturally sensitive counseling for clients of diverse backgrounds, including race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, ability and socio-economic status.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Position requires knowledge and skill in working with addictions, experience working with college student populations, experience providing clinical supervision, the ability to provide short-term counseling, and work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Minimum Requirements

*         Master's degree in counseling or related mental-health discipline

 *   Licensure as mental health professional in Colorado (psychologist, LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
 *   Experience providing supervision in individual counseling, group counseling, and couple & family counseling
 *   Experience working with undergraduate college students
 *   Multicultural counseling training, experience and demonstrated competence
Preferred Qualifications
*         Bilingual (Spanish)
*         Experience conducting live supervision
*         History of work with addictions and prevention programming.
*         Experience counseling children and families
*         Experience working with marketing through internet and social media

Salary Range
$45K-50K plus benefits

Finalists will interview again on: August 4th between 11 - 1.
You must be available for both dates to be considered for hire.

Job Start Date:
Candidate must be able to attend job orientation 8/22 & 8/23. The position is open effective 8/15 and it is hoped that candidate is able to start soon thereafter.
