These courses include but are not limited to systemic theories, assessment, couples therapy, and practicum and internship supervision. The candidate may also be expected to provide on-site supervision. All faculty share student advising and committee assignments. Required Qualifications: Candidates must have earned doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field by time of appointment. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of experience as a marriage and family therapist. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of teaching at the university - level in a graduate program is highly desirable. Candidates must also provide evidence of ability to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals in the discipline, with a demonstrated record of scholarship/creative activity.
