I am pleased to announce that the University of New Orleans has a position posting for a Tenure-track Assistant Counseling Professor Faculty.

Assistant Professor
The University of New Orleans invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor of counselor education in a CACREP-accredited program that offers the doctoral degree and master's degree with specializations in school and clinical mental health counseling. The program is housed in the Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, & Foundations. The position  entails teaching, research, and service responsibilities, and coordinating the on-campus counselor training laboratory.  The position is nine months with opportunities for summer teaching. Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program is required.

Desired qualifications include evidence of ability to direct student dissertations; expertise in quantitative research methodology; expertise in marriage and family and/or substance abuse counseling; experience as a full-time faculty member in a counseling graduate program.  This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in working in a unique urban setting. Application review will begin on receipt and will continue until the search is closed.
