COUNSELING VISITING PROFESSOR POSITION

The Counseling Department in the Adrian Dominican School of Education at Barry University announces a one-year Visiting Professor position beginning August 2012 at the Instructor or Assistant Professor rank. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidate must have a Ph.D. from a CACREP-accredited program or have graduate teaching experience in a CACREP-accredited program. ABD from a CACREP-accredited program will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who:
*       are eligible for or hold Florida licensure (LMHC or LMFT),
*       have clinical experience and expertise in clinical mental health or school counseling,

This position involves teaching and advising in the Master's program and clinical supervision of practicum and internship students. Flexibility and willingness to work on program projects are highly valued qualities as are the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with the faculty as a team member and being student-oriented.

The Counseling Department holds CACREP accreditation in its Master's in Counseling with specializations in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling/Therapy; Mental Health Counseling; and School Counseling, and in its Ph.D. in Counseling programs.
