The Counselor Education program is nationally-ranked and fully accredited by CACREP. Salary and terms of appointment are commensurate with qualifications and include a 9-month salary and benefits package. The Counselor Education program has 7 full-time faculty members and offers 72-semester hour MEd/EdS programs in school counseling, mental health counseling, couple and family counseling, and a Ph.D. in counseling and counselor education. All master's and doctoral programs are full-time, and are CACREP accredited. The Counselor Education program has been ranked consistently in the Top 10 in the U.S. News and World Report rankings. Faculty engage in research, teaching, advising doctoral and master's students, and providing service to the counseling profession. Program faculty are committed to preparing counseling professionals who operate from ecosystemic and social justice perspectives and are seeking a counselor educator who shares their commitment to scholarship, cultural diversity, social justice, and international outreach. This tenure-track position provides a start-up package including reduced initial teaching, service, and advising loads, as well as computer and technology resources. The College of Education (COE) has a designated Office of Educational Research to provide extensive support for grant writing and research. Merit, promotion, and tenure considerations are based primarily on scholarly productivity, excellence in teaching, participation in service to the college and the field, and procurement of external funding.
