Thank you - Sylvia COUNSELING FACULTY POSITION The Counseling Department in the Adrian Dominican School of Education at Barry University announces a faculty position beginning January 2013 at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidate must have a Ph.D. from a CACREP-accredited program or have at least one year graduate teaching experience in a CACREP-accredited program. Preference will be given to candidates who: * are eligible for or hold Florida licensure (LMHC or LMFT), * have clinical experience and expertise in clinical mental health counseling or marriage and family counseling, * are competent in conducting and mentoring quantitative research, and directing dissertations, * have a record of scholarship through presentations and publications, and * a record of writing for and/or securing grants. This 9-month position involves teaching, advising, and clinical supervision of practicum and internship students in the Master's and Doctoral programs. Summer teaching is a strong possibility. Flexibility and willingness to work on program projects are highly valued qualities as are the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with the faculty as a team member and being student-oriented. The Counseling Program holds CACREP accreditation in its Master's in Counseling with specializations in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling/ Therapy; Clinical Mental Health Counseling; and School Counseling, as well as in its Ph.D. in Counseling.
