BROOKLYN COLLEGE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
ANTICIPATED TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION

FALL 2013

TITLE: Assistant Professor in School Counseling

DEPARTMENT: The department of School Psychology, Counseling, and Leadership
(SPCL) at Brooklyn College is accepting applications for a tenuretrack,
Assistant Professor for our CACREP-accredited School
Counseling Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates are expected to teach graduate level school counseling
courses, supervise students in field experiences, advise students,
pursue scholarship and research agenda, participate in curriculum and
program development, collaborate with school and agency partners,
and serve on department and university committees.

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in counselor education (CACREP accredited), counseling
or related field required. Experience in teaching, scholarship, and/or
program administration in urban schools and diverse communities is
strongly preferred. A minimum of 3 years counseling experience in
schools or community settings is preferred. Knowledge of current
national counselor training standards (CACREP and ASCA) required.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and credentials.
The Brooklyn College School Counseling Program prepares a carefully selected and qualified,
