The successful candidates will teach graduate classes in the Mental Health Counseling sequence; maintain an active research agenda; assist in the coordination of the mental health counseling program; supervise master's level students; and fulfill service responsibilities to the division, college, and university, and in advancing the counseling profession. Candidates will be expected to work in collaboration with other colleagues in the Center for Psychological Studies and community partners; develop and carry out a research/grant agenda that addresses culturally-diverse issues and concerns; and supervise students in practicum and in internship field placements. Qualifications: Applicants must possess a doctorate in Counselor Education (doctoral degree must be earned and conferred by date of hire) and be licensed or license eligible as a professional counselor in Florida. Candidates should also hold certification with NBCC, and demonstrate evidence of a research agenda or a clear potential for scholarly activities. Preference will be given to applicants from a CACREP-accredited program, documented clinical experience in the field of mental health counseling, and active professional involvement with NBCC and/or ACA.
