Walden University, an NCATE accredited online university, is seeking part-time faculty for our M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program. Faculty for the Mental Health Counseling program are sought to teach and mentor students in their role as mental health counselors. The Mental Health Counseling program focuses on preparing students academically, professionally and personally to become skilled mental health counselors.


The M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), an independent accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation that accredits counselor preparation master's degree programs. CACREP accreditation attests to the quality and relevancy of our program and

Walden is one of the only higher education institutions that offer a CACREP accredited M.S. degree in Mental Health Counseling online.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


 *   Earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program at an accredited institution.
 *   Minimum of three years of experience teaching and mentoring Master's level students, including directing thesis research.
 *   Ability to assume a leadership role in coordinating administrative aspects of the program and functioning as a governing core faculty member.
 *   Experience supervising students in their field training experience.
 *   Ability to work with non-traditional students.
 *   Ability to participate in residencies, national faculty meetings and other work-related travel.
