Counselor Education Department of Counseling & Higher Education The Ohio University College of Education and its Department of Counseling and Higher Education invites nominations and applications for a full time tenure track (Group I) faculty position in Counselor Education at the rank of Assistant professor. The appointee will be expected to maintain a strong record of scholarship, preferably with an emphasis on the areas of teaching responsibility. The position requires teaching, supervising, and advising master's and doctoral students. The specific assignments will include teaching courses in rehabilitation, community, and school counseling within the CORE and CACREP accredited program. We are seeking a faculty member with expertise in rehabilitation and/or school counseling and addiction counseling. Required qualifications include: * An earned doctorate (PhD or EdD) prior to appointment from an accredited university in counselor education or rehabilitation counseling with licensure. * Evidence of scholarly activity (e.g. published articles, book chapters, books, and/or professional conference presentations) * Teaching experience in the areas of rehabilitation counseling, clinical mental health counseling and/or school counseling * Candidate should be licensed or licensable as a professional counselor or professional clinical counselor in Ohio immediately * Graduate from a CORE or CACREP Accredited Program expected * Excellent communication, collegial and interpersonal skills * The willingness to teach regional cohort programs and/or other alternative program delivery models including the use of technology in teaching is preferred.
