The selected instructor will be part of a dynamic and team-orientated group of counselor educators who teach mental health, school, and military counseling. Qualifications: We are seeking an individual with teaching and clinical experience in counseling. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counselor Education is preferred; however, applicants holding a master's degree in counseling with significant teaching and/or clinical experience will be considered. Graduates of CACREP accredited programs and those who demonstrate a primary professional identity as a counselor/counselor educator are preferred. Specific experience in the areas of multicultural counseling, diverse populations, military personnel and families, addictions, counselor supervision and outpatient mental health counseling are also preferred. Responsibilities: The incumbent will be expected to provide exemplary, face-to-face, hybrid and online instruction, quality advising/mentoring for students, as well as service to the department, College of Education and the University. Specifically, the candidate will have a 9-month contract, teach full time and will have the possibility of annual renewal. There may be opportunities for summer teaching.
