>) is located in Prescott, a town of 40,000 located in the mountains of central Arizona. Prescott is surrounded by national forest and high plains at an elevation of 5,200 feet. With four mild seasons and unsurpassed natural beauty, Prescott offers a diversity of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and nearby canoeing, rafting, kayaking, and snow skiing. The old mining town of Jerome, the red rocks of Sedona, shopping in Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon are all within a day's trip.
The Program Director for Counseling Psychology is a 12 month, exempt administrative position hired to work primarily within the CP graduate programs, but may also work in other degree programs given the needs of the College and with the approval of the Provost. The Program Director will retain their underlying full faculty status.  While the instructional work of the Program Director is directly coordinated by the Dean of Distance Delivery and Academic Affairs, the CP Program Director reports to the Provost for their administrative work leading the CP graduate programs.
In addition to teaching / advising as Core Faculty in the graduate programs in Counseling Psychology (approximately 1/3 load or less),
•           Serve as chair of the graduate programs in Counseling Psychology
•           Develop, implement and oversee the Counseling Psychology graduate programs and the delivery of the Adventure Based Psychotherapy, Eco-psychology, Somatic Psychology, Equine Assisted Mental Health, Expressive Art Therapy and other concentrations;
•           Provide leadership in the current limited-residency Counseling Psychology program and add to the Colleges offerings by developing a campus-based delivery model for the Masters in Counseling Psychology program as well as a Doctoral program;
•           Coordinate the development of strategic steps in moving forward towards the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation and perform curriculum and program development and revision for approval and re-approval of the Counseling Psychology program with CACREP including, but not limited to:
     o       Assessing programs quality, student learning and CACREP compliance through student, faculty, site-supervisor and graduate evaluations.
          •           Providing evidence of the use of findings to inform program modifications.
     o     Ensuring program curriculum meets CACREP requirements.
     o     Maintaining compliance with CACREP faculty to student and core faculty to mentor/instructor teaching ratios.
     o     Ensuring proper implementation of CACREP field experience requirements.
•           Propose and develop new concentrations and CACREP specializations;
•           Serve as liaison to and maintain curricular and field experience requirements in alignment with the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners;
•           Work with Admissions to reach out to potential markets of new students for post-MA certification;
•           Articulate and lead faculty in best practices in curriculum design and assessment.

Qualifications
•           A doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, or have a doctoral degree and have been employed as full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year.
•           Sustained membership within the counseling profession through memberships in professional organizations (i.e., ACA and/or its divisions), and through appropriate certifications and/or licenses pertinent to the profession.
•           Engagement in the counseling profession and its professional organizations, including all of the following: (a) development/renewal (e.g., appropriate professional meetings, conventions, workshops, seminars), (b) research and scholarly activity; and (c) service and advocacy (e.g., program presentations, workshops, consultations speeches, direct service).
•           Professional counseling license (or eligibility).
•           Recent/current clinical practice.
•           Minimum three years teaching and/or administration experience in a graduate program, preferably in alternative or hybrid delivery.
•           Administrative capacity to lead and sustain change.
•           Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
•           Able to organize and execute in a timely manner large volume curriculum production across multiple specializations and concentrations.
•           Awareness of and support for the Mission of the College and practices of the Counseling Psychology program, the College, and the CACREP requirements.
•           Ability to interface with licensing and accrediting bodies.
•           The ability to teach effectively in traditional and online learning environments.
•           Strong interpersonal communication skills, a sense of humor, excellent administrative skills, a collaborative approach, the ability to mentor and advise students, and the entrepreneurial spirit to develop and support program development in areas appropriate to the College mission.
•           Knowledge of and sensitivity to working with diverse populations; bilingual fluency preferred.
