The Columbus-Athens Schweitzer Fellows Program, a chapter of the national Schweitzer Fellowship, seeks to build leaders in service who are dedicated to working with the underserved. From April 2015 until May 2016 Schweitzer Fellows will design and implement 200-hour community service projects that address local unmet health-related needs and participate in other Fellowship activities. A diverse group of 12-18 graduate and professional students will be selected from OSU, Ohio University, and other Columbus-area colleges. Fellows will be pursuing degrees in a broad range of disciplines, including the health sciences, social work, divinity studies, law, education, engineering, and others. The Fellowship is open to students enrolled full or part-time in a graduate and professional degree program. Fellows receive a $3,000 honorarium over the course of the year. Applications are due February 16, 2015. An information session is scheduled on December 12 from 12:00-1:00 pm in Grosvenor West 111.
