The deadline for applications is midnight October 20, 2014. Board application can be accessed here: http://www.cacrep.org/news/cacrep-board-opening-announcement/. 2) CACREP Research Initiative for Graduate Students (CRIGS) Program CACREP is seeking two graduate students to become CRIGS Research Fellows for 2015. Further details about the CRIGS program and how to apply can be found on the CACREP website: http://www.cacrep.org/news/cacrep-seeks-research-fellow-applicants-crigs-program/. Applications are due by November 15, 2014. 3) Student Open RFP Students can apply for up to $500 in research funding at any time by submitting a research proposal according to the announcement: http://www.cacrep.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Student-RFP-Application-Announcement.updated3.11.13.doc. This is open to any student or group of students enrolled in a CACREP-accredited counseling program and can also be used to help fund dissertation research relating to CACREP. 4) Leadership Essay Contest: Professional Identity: Challenges and Possible Solutions This year, CSI and CACREP are sponsoring a joint essay contest to promote a strong professional counselor identity. CSI members are invited to submit an essay on this topic in one of two membership categories: Entry-Level Students and Doctoral Students/Professional Counselors/Counselor Educators. The first place winner in each category will receive $500, a one-year membership renewal in CSI, and publication of the essay in the CSI Exemplar, the CACREP Connection newsletter, and at csi-net.org< http://www.csi-net.org/ >! Prizes will also be awarded for second and third place winners within each membership category.
