Position: Assistant Profess or /Associate Professor/ Professor (two positions)

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking applications for tenured/tenure track faculty in the School of Rehabilitation Services & Counseling to begin fall 2015.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must meet the institutional requirements for tenure to be considered for the position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor.

Assistant Professor. Requirements for an Assistant Professor are: (1) a doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited university; (2) a minimum of 3 years professional work experience in the field with at least 2 years in direct client service; and (3) CRC or CRC eligible.

Associate Professor. Requirements for Associate Professor are: (1) must have a doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited university and must already be tenured, (2) must be able to independently lead, conduct and develop education and research activities of a high quality to meet the institutional requirement for the rank of Associate Professor, (3) demonstrate a high degree of teaching proficiency, record of publication in peer-reviewed journals, and commitment and professional service, (4) demonstrate the ability to seek and obtain external funds to conduct research projects, and (5) CRC or CRC eligible.

Full Professor. Requirements for Full Professor include beyond those required above: (1) scholarly professional experience demonstrated through an exemplary record of, teaching, publication in peer-reviewed journals, and external funding to meet the institutional requirement for the rank of Full Professor, and (2) demonstrate a distinguished record of accomplishment that leads to an international or national reputation in the field of rehabilitation and (3) must be CRC.
