I have been following this thread closely on suicide prevention and assessment training, and am currently looking for perspectives like yours for a study that I am conducting, and would like to invite you to participate. I am hoping that you will agree and we can further discuss this extremely important topic. If you are available, I would love to schedule a Skype or phone interview at your earliest convenience! We are asking for volunteers to participate in a qualitative inquiry based on your experience working with suicidal clients. We are interested in perspectives from counselors and current students who have previously worked with a suicidal client. If you are a counseling student, to qualify, you need to be enrolled in or have previously taken practicum as well. Participants will be asked to participate in a brief interview on their experiences with this topic. Please consider forwarding this link to those you know who meet these criteria. Any information you provide is confidential and findings from this study will be presented in group format, further ensuring you are not identified in any way. Participation is voluntary. You have a right as a participant to withdraw from the study at any time. If you are interested in participating, please contact the primary researcher, Heather Dahl, via e-mail at hdahl at odu.edu <mailto: hdahl at odu.edu >. Should you have questions about the qualitative study, please contact us or the Human Subjects Review Committee Chair, Dr. Ed Gomez ( egomez at odu.edu <mailto: rspina at odu.edu >).
