What:  "Everyday Advocates: Counseling Leadership in Practice" - 3 CEU's
When:  Friday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where: Youngstown State University, Beeghly College of Education, McKay Auditorium, Youngstown, OH

The presenters will include national, state, and agency leaders - examples includes:  President, National Employment Counseling Association; President-Elect, National Career Development Association; President, Ohio Counseling Association; Vice-President, Meridian Community Care; Administrative Director, Mahoning County Mental Health Board; Past-President, Chi Sigma Iota - International; and Past-President, Ohio Counseling Association, etc.

Participants will develop advocacy and leadership strategies to advocate for clients / counseling profession, network with OACES members, present your research poster (option for students), and earn 3 CEU's in Youngstown, Ohio.   Counseling students are invited to submit a proposal to participate in the 30 minute student poster competition during the lunch -  complete the attached proposal form.  Poster presentation application (attached)​.  Lunch provided!

This workshop is co-sponsored by the Ohio Counseling Association and the Eta Chapter, CSI, Youngstown State University Counseling Program.  See the attached brochure for registration information and RSVP to Rebecca Szanto by the March 27th deadline to participate ( rszanto at student.ysu.edu
