Carlos The Pennsylvania State University College of Education Department of Educational Psychology, Counseling & Special Education Position Available: Assistant/Associate Professor of Counselor Education (tenure line) Beginning: Fall Semester 2019 Appointment Conditions: The College of Education at Penn State seeks to strengthen its faculty in the area of Counselor Education and is particularly interested in identifying candidates with interests and expertise in either school counseling or mental health prevention/intervention in communities and schools. Applicants should have a record promising success in teaching, supervision, and research, along with a primary professional identity as a counselor educator. Applicants seeking appointment at the Associate Professor rank should have demonstrated competence in the aforementioned areas commensurate with that rank. This is a tenure-track, 36-week appointment with the possibility of supplementary summer appointments in research and/or teaching. Counselor Education at Penn State includes CACREP accredited programs in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Career Counseling, Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and Supervision. Earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program or with faculty experience in a CACREP accredited program. Demonstrated commitment to high quality teaching and advising students, including through the use of modern distance education technologies. 3. Eligible for appropriate Counselor license and/or certification. 4. Evidence of commitment to diversity, social justice, equity, and access in research and teaching. 5.
