Many thanks, Satinder Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor Organization: East Carolina University Location: Greenville, NC Posted Date: Friday, November 2, 2018 Application Due Date: Open Until Filled Position Description: As a full-time, tenure track/tenured faculty position, the successful candidate will support the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies’ mission with excellence in teaching, research, service, and leadership of the Military and Trauma Counseling certificate program. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all curricular levels, implement a grant funded research program, and engage in service activities at the department to international levels. The successful candidate will also serve as the Coordinator of the department’s graduate level certificate in Military and Trauma Counseling and be a faculty assigned to the M.S. in Rehabilitation & Career Counseling program. The Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies (formerly the Department of Rehabilitation Studies) at East Carolina University began in 1967 with a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. The first students graduated in 1969. Currently, the department has the following degree programs: B.S. in Rehabilitation Services, M.S. in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in addictions, M.S. in Rehabilitation and Career Counseling, and Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration; both masters programs and the doctoral program are CACREP accredited. The department also has the following graduate certificate programs: Military and Trauma Counseling (MTC), Rehabilitation Counseling (RC), Substance Abuse Counseling (SAC), and Vocational Evaluation (VE). In Rehabilitation Services began in fall 1994 and graduated its first students in 1998. In the fall of 2005, the Department of Rehabilitation Studies began a Ph.D. program in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration and graduated its first student in 2009. Minimum Education/Experience PhD in Counseling from a CACREP accredited program, or a doctoral degree in a closely related field and one year full time experience as a faculty in a counselor education program. Expertise through teaching, research, and/or practice with rehabilitation counseling and military and trauma related issues. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education • Possession of or eligibility via reciprocity for NC licensure as a Professional Counselor, • Possession of or eligibility via reciprocity for NC licensure as a Clinical Addictions Specialist.
