We are reaching out to you because you are a faculty member in a CACREP accredited, research intensive program with doctoral students who may be interested in our tenure track faculty position. Please feel free to share with any interested students, alumni, and professional contacts.

The Department of Counseling< https://education.utsa.edu/departments/counseling/ 
> at The University of Texas at San Antonio currently invites applicants for tenure-track assistant professor faculty member specializing in school counseling. Clinical mental health applicants may apply, though school counseling is the priority for this position. This is a full-time, nine-month position that will start August 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will have:

  1.  a well-defined research agenda with promise for robust, high-impact research and publications in refereed journals;
  2.  a commitment to pursuing external funding with training and support;
  3.  the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of first-generation, low-income students, and to fulfill the mission of an HSI; and

The preferred candidate will be:

  1.  certified or certification eligible as a school counselor in the state of Texas (CSC< https://tea.texas.gov/texas-educators/certification/additional-certifications/student-services-certificates 
>) and be licensed or license eligible in the state of Texas (LPC, LPC-S< https://bhec.texas.gov/texas-state-board-of-examiners-of-professional-counselors/

  2.  have expertise in the field of school counseling and demonstrate commitment to contribute and enhance the school counseling program
