The CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is part of the Department of Applied Psychology, which also includes degree programs in Marriage and Family Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling, and a certificate programs in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Applied Behavioral Analysis.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>Specific Responsibilities<o:p></o:p>Responsibilities include teaching courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, participation in program management and academic governance, advising, engaged scholarship, and university service.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>Educational and Experiential Requirements and Credentials An earned doctorate (or nearly completed) in counselor education or equivalent, eligible for licensure as a mental health counselor in New Hampshire, and at least three-to five-years professional clinical experience. Successful candidates must be able to develop and sustain a program of scholarship in counseling or counselor education.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>Preferred Qualifications/Areas of Interest<o:p></o:p>A background in substance abuse and addictions counseling, strong clinical experience, along with teaching of CACREP core courses, clinical, and supervisory experience at the graduate level are highly desirable. A doctorate from a CACREP-accredited program is preferred.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is committed to social justice, experiential teaching, clinical training, and scholarship, using creative, progressive, and applied approaches, including hybrid models for course delivery. Our students attend classes on-campus one each week, combine ANE with work, internship, and family life.
