<div class="MsoNormal">JOB DESCRIPTION. The College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in Counselor Education beginning in fall of 2013. Responsibilities include any or all of the following: teaching graduate courses in school counseling program as well as program coordination; leading the CACREP self-study of the school counseling program; teaching general counseling courses; supervising internships; and chairing graduate committees in the masters in counseling program; contributing to the program with the possibility of developing a specialty strand related to expertise areas; participating in college performance assessment activities; conducting research, writing grants, and engaging in other scholarly activities; and providing service and outreach to the university and to the profession.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">QUALIFICATIONS. The successful candidate must hold an earned doctorate by August, 2013 from an accredited program in counselor education or closely related field. The candidate must have experience working with school-age students and/or with K-12 schools. He or she must be capable of teaching courses in the counseling program and show productivity or strong potential in a program of research and grant acquisition.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Preference will be given to applicants graduating from a CACREP accredited program. Additionally, candidates with supporting expertise in the ACSA model and CACREP accreditation procedures, as well as the ability to contribute to the Marriage and Family Therapy Program are desired. </div>
