Hello all! You may be aware that there is a forum this Thursday the 22nd from 12-1:30 PM in McCracken Hall 210 on confronting Appalachian stereotypes. Dr. Leonard Allen and Dr. Michael Hess will be presenting. Despite OU being located in Appalachia, opportunities to learn more about the region and its people are rare. Also, as you all are aware, one of the five diversity domains of the Diversity Studies Certificate is social class. This talk would be a great opportunity for you to learn more about this important domain, and we strongly encourage you to attend (schedule permitting). Thank you!
