[Dtwg] Malaclemys terrapin macrospilota need homes

without knowing the provenance of the individuals, releasing them into the natural population associated with the Kiawah River could confound future genetic studies that might be carried out in this long-term project that is continuing. Probably better that they go to educational outreach programs if possible. - whit

If more terrapins need a home, might the Kiawah River estuary here in South Carolina be an acceptable location?

And the winner is.... Jack Berlin's new Terrapin exhibit in Tampa at Upper Tampa Bay Park last week. They will live in their native habitat in an outside Taj Mahal !

Russ,
I can probably assist you. FWC often uses outreach animals like this, and we currently don't have any DBTs. I'm not sure that we can take all five animals, but I would be happy to discuss some potential solutions with you.

Thanks,
Brooke

I have 5 adult Malaclemys terrapin macrospilota as a result of a confiscation. They now need permanent homes out of the pet trade. Ideas?
