[Dtwg] tracking terrapins

A recently met new colleague (Ned Horning < horning at amnh.org 
) is trying to develop a relatively inexpensive open source tracking device specifically for terrapins, using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and transmitting those coordinates using a Long Range (LoRa) and a Low-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) radio system.

They are looking are looking for collaborators with the following expertise: 1) LoRa and Arduino application development, 2) Designing low-power microcontroller boards, 3) Using servers for storing and displaying position and sensor data.

They’d also like to hear from folks who are interested in using their products, that helps them raise $$ from potential donors.
