Calling all TV, mobile, tablet and display enthusiasts! LG Display, the world’s largest LCD panel maker, is inviting you—School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students and faculty—to forecast on the future of high-end display technology and its applications.

The LG Display Industry Futurecasting Tournament< http://lg.cultivatelabs.com
> is an invitation-only forecasting community of experts (tech industry leaders, engineers, hobbyists, gamers, graphic artists, and researchers). Together, your forecasts over the next 6 months will help LG define their business strategy.

There are many chances to win prizes each month ($10K+ in Amazon gift cards) for participation and accuracy. And, you can see and use the aggregate forecasts for your own research purposes.

Interested? To enter, please go to the project page and register: lg.cultivatelabs.com < http://lg.cultivatelabs.com
>

Once you register, you will be asked to:

· Answer a (very brief) survey to tell us about yourself and how much you already know about display technology. This is just for research purposes; your information will be kept private and only shared with LG Display.

· Start making forecasts in the practice round! Not sure where to start? View these Quick Tips< https://app.box.com/s/76d0z4h2dpom6ov2w7uduas5wmnxlg3v
>, or take a deep dive on the technology behind the forecasting site, technically called a prediction market< https://www.cultivatelabs.com/prediction-markets-guide/
>.

· Be sure to bookmark the homepage< http://lg.cultivatelabs.com/
> so you can keep coming back.

Each week, you’ll get an email with new questions that focus on display technologies (like OLED), industry trends, and product performance in the marketplace. We ask that you spend (ideally) 5-10 minutes weekly submitting forecasts on new questions if you have a perspective on them, updating previous forecasts, and sharing news, insights, or even rumors with the rest of the community.

Since this is an invitation-only tournament, please invite others you think should be included—just send them to the homepage< http://lg.cultivatelabs.com/
> to sign up. If you have any questions, feel free to email Cathryn at cultivatelabs.com
<mailto: Cathryn at cultivatelabs.com
>. Cultivate Labs, a Chicago-based crowdsourcing startup, is running the tournament (they also run the Ohio University Undergraduate Prediction Tournament< http://ohio.cultivateforecasts.com
>).
