[Job Opportunity for Electrical Engineering Students   About ATSI         Athens Technical Specialists, Inc. (ATSI) has been in business for over 30 years. We were founded by   the late Dr. Jim Gilfert, professor emeritus of electrical and computer engineering at Ohio University.   We design and manufacture two different product lines:   1. Electrical test equipment for the traffic signal industry (www.atsi-tester.com).    2. Wireless camera and sensor products (www.buckeyecam.com).    Job Description   We have an immediate need to fill a part-time technical position. The position would involve the duties   of both an electronics technician and an engineering assistant.   Technician duties may include the following: • Calibration of test equipment   • Troubleshooting test equipment   • Repairing test equipment (i.e. soldering, wiring)   • Initializing and programming printed circuit boards   • Assembling camera and sensor products   Engineering assistant duties may include the following: • Creating or updating schematics using CAD software   • Assisting with R&D for new products   • Assisting with printed circuit board design using Altium Designer   • Assisting engineers with prototyping and testing of circuit designs   • Writing code in C / C++   Minimum Qualifications • Must be currently enrolled as an Electrical Engineering student   • Prefer students who have completed at least one circuit analysis course   • Prefer students who are familiar with C or C++   • Must be dependable and motivated to learn   Work Hours   We are looking for a student (or students) who can work between 5 – 20 hours per week. Work hours   can be flexible. We are willing to work around class schedules.   This is a unique opportunity for an electrical engineering student to gain real world experience in the   area of embedded systems design.
