<p class="xmsonormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:#201F1E">The Ohio University IEEE Student Chapter is hosting a Microsoft Teams Presentation by Darren Crawford (BS ’90, MS ’92), Operations Coordinator for the Proton Improvement Plan II (PIP-II)
project at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). The PIP-II project represents a major upgrade to the world-class Fermilab accelerator complex, and features an 800 MeV superconducting linear accelerator that can accelerate protons to more
than 80 percent of the speed of light. A test area at Fermilab, PIP2IT, was created to validate the novel designs for PIP-II and gain operational experience. This talk will center on the various technologies tested at PIP2IT and accelerator operations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
