<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in">What can we do to curb the emissions that are plaguing the environment? What is the future of diesel engines? Research Assistant Professor Arvind Thiruvengadam from West Virginia University &#8211; one of the researchers
 who broke the Volkswagen emissions scandal &#8211; will talk about the real emissions rates of light- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles, and the future research areas and engine technologies that could lead to truly lower emissions and higher efficiencies. The lecture,
 &quot;Diesel Vehicle Emissions, Efficiency, and Future Pathways,&#8221; will be held Tues., Nov. 1, in Baker University Center Theatre, with a pre-reception from 2:30-2:55 p.m., and the lecture at 2:55 p.m. Russ College Dean Dennis Irwin will make special closing remarks
 about the importance of professional engineers.<o:p></o:p></p>
