<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="color:#2F5597">Dane Egli recently served as Senior Advisor for Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, specializing in Homeland Security, Critical Infrastructure Resilience,
Systems Engineering, Cyber and Maritime Security (2012-2016). From 2004-2006 he served in the White House, National Security Council staff as a Director for Counterterrorism & Global Counternarcotics, and was senior advisor to President George W. Bush on hostage
rescue policy, and chaired the interagency Hostage Working Group. He is the founder and President of Cardinal Headings, LLC (2011), focused on strategic operational planning, innovative technologies, and national security; and is President and Co-Founder of
the Hyperloop Advanced Research Partnership (HARP), a global non-profit organization advancing the development of hyperloop transportation technology. Dr. Egli is the author of “Beyond the Storms: Strengthening Homeland Security and Disaster Management to
Achieve Resilience,” and has appeared on ABC, CNN, FOX News, C-SPAN, and NPR to address the current war on terrorism, homeland security, and hostage rescue policy. During a 33-year Coast Guard career, he served on six cutters in operational assignments conducting
search & rescue and maritime law enforcement. He also served at NORAD/US NORTHCOM as a senior advisor to the Combatant Commander (2006-2008). In the private sector (2008-2011), he was a senior systems engineer and business consultant for Integrity Applications
Inc., Naval Research Laboratory, and several Fortune 100 Companies. Dr. Egli is a native of Danville, Pennsylvania and graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1979, earning a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Civil Engineering. He received graduate
degrees from George Washington University and National Defense University, a doctoral degree from University of Colorado (Denver) and is a distinguished graduate of the Naval War College. He is also a graduate of Harvard University, Kennedy School Executive
Education, specialized in Homeland Security and Resilience.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
