Hi all, I just called a call from Scioto County Engineer's office. They want to hire 2 students as soon as possible. The job does not even require GIS per se, more so they need AutoCAD knowledge, but they are flexible in their requirements since the first thing they want to do is train somebody to do surveys and read deeds etc. The job does not need high level of GIS or mapping skills, so it really is quite open in terms of who they may consider. Since all of you know some GIS, it should be enough to get your foot in the door. These jobs will be stable government jobs, and if you are interested, please let me know if you want any help preparing a resume etc. You can also contact anybody else in our department, who you may feel more comfortable seeking advice from. Both undergrads and grads should consider applying. If you are interested, you can call the number listed on the webpage for Scioto County Engineer's office ( http://www.sciotocountyohio.com/engineer.html ) and see what they need from you to interview. Good luck! -Gaurav ************************************************************************** Gaurav Sinha, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Department of Geography Ohio University 105A Clippinger Labs Athens, OH 45701 Email: sinhag at ohio.edu <mailto: sinhag at ohio.edu > Campus Office: 740.593.0304 Home Office: 740.743.7188 Fax: 740.593.1139 Website: http://ohio.edu/people/sinhag<http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~sinhag > **************************************************************************** -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
