The position combines 30 hours/week of teaching assistance responsibilities in our larger human geography classes (grading, office hours, helping run in-class discussions, etc) with 10 hours/week of research assistance with one or more of our faculty. The main requirements are a bachelor's degree in Geography, excellent research skills, and an ability to work well with others. Coursework in international development, urban geography, and health geography is desirable. The position pays $17/hour and comes with benefits. It is excellent preparation for graduate school, or indeed any job that involves teaching, mentoring and research.
