For those unfamiliar, the Internship Program of Pathways offers paid meaningful training and career development opportunities for students, and can lead to further career paths for Federal service within the NWS. The program seeks bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals with excellent communication skills who have a strong interest in meteorology.

NWS Louisville prides itself on being a progressive office. Our well-established and respected student program offers students on-the-job training, much exposure to NWS operations and services, and many research opportunities. Familiarization and outreach trips to off-site locations (river gauges, mesonet stations, radar site, school and community talks) are scheduled to provide students the chance to learn about the many programs within the NWS.
