Subject: Americorps Position with Winding Road/Ohio Hill Country

Dear Friends,

We are doing some shuffling and redefining of roles with our Americorps positions with the Winding Road and Ohio's Hill Country Heritage Area for the new term beginning in mid August.  Selina will still be around, but her role will shift.  This creates an open position with Ohio's Hill Country Heritage Area under my supervision.  The person will work on both OHCHA and Winding Road projects with myself, Selina and others.  Do you know of a person who might be interested in this position.  The stipend is approximately $1,000 per month, included single health insurance and I believe a $4,000 education credit towards further one's education post experience. The position works out to 35 hours a week.  Flexible scheduling is possible to a certain extent.  The commitment is for one year.  The position will take place in both Shawnee and Athens, so a reliable car will be needed.

This is an ideal position for a history, journalism, marketing, recreation, entrepreneurship/business, tourism graduates who wants to be of service before embarking on a career.  Also, for a retired person looking to spice up their life. Writing and organizational skills are important.  The ability to work independently on defined projects is important, as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills.
