Amalie Lipstreu is an Ohio resident working nationally on climate related agriculture conservation. Amalie is looking for information on the possibility of an unpaid student intern to work with them on some mapping of resources across the country. The group is looking at establishing regional hubs across the country that will provide outreach and technical assistance to farmers that are “underserved” by USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service. The goal is to provide more support for small to mid-scale and underserved farmers that want to take advantage of an unprecedented level of conservation funding that is currently available and targeted to “climate-smart” agricultural practices. Preliminary work will focus on landscape analysis of agencies, organizations and resources to determine potential locations for the regional hubs.
