I have been working aboard NOAA ships as a survey technician since 01/2023 and I have had a great experience. Most technicians come from backgrounds in geology, geography, GIS, biology or any STEM related field. This opportunity would be great for someone seeking a non-traditional desk job and field work experience. You can potentially sail all over the world with a 60 day on, 30 day off rotation.
