(December 22, 2011)  The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has announced its intent to temporarily suspend individual career development Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) due to budget constraints. This change applies to the February 12, 2012 new application receipt date and March 12, 2012 receipt date for resubmission applications. AHRQ has also announced that it will no longer be co-sponsoring the R01, R03, and R21 program announcements, "Understanding and Promoting Health Literacy" (PAR-10-133, PAR-10-134, and PAR-10-135).  This does not affect participation by Institutes of the NIH, which will still be funding applications to these program announcements.

Health literacy applications that respond to AHRQ program announcements can still be submitted. These include:
