Each of these groups are comprised of patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and other health care stakeholders, and are charged with assisting PCORI with identify research priorities as well as refining the Institute's research project agenda. Specifically, the PCORI Advisory Panels will be responsible for assisting PCORI staff, Board of Governors, and Methodology Committee in developing and prioritizing specific research questions, modeling robust patient and stakeholder engagement efforts, and providing other scientific or technical input on issues pertinent to the Institute's mission and work. Although the Advisory Panels do not serve in an official decision-making capacity, PCORI staff and leadership will take its recommendations into consideration. Any individual interested in serving on an Advisory Panel is eligible to apply. Selection will be based upon the candidate's experience, background, ability to contribute to the scope of each Advisory Panel's mission, and their commitment to PCORI's overall goals.
