Coupet, D.O., MPH, Training in Policy Studies Fellowship Class of 2009-2010,</span></b><span

a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. He will work at the University of
Michigan conducting research on the impact of international rotations on the
health care workforce. More specifically, Dr. Coupet will look at whether
international experiences influence US physicians’ choice of specialty or their
decision to practice in underserved areas. Dr. Coupet currently practices
at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Dr. Coupet founded <a
href="http://www.dufh.org/">Doctors United For Haiti</a> and has been very
involved in delivering health care in that country since the earthquake.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Nichols conducted a “series of advocacy visits with Members of Congress to
introduce them to the AOA's incoming president. . . . (her) schedule
includes meetings with Senator Roland Burris (D-IL), Congressman Peter Roskam
(R-IL), Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), Congresswoman Melissa Bean
(D-IL), and Nancy Ann DeParle, Director of the White House Office of Health
Care Reform. President-elect Nichols also had lunch with Joe Heck, DO, an
AOA member who is running for Congress in Nevada. This evening she will
attend a reception hosted by Congressman Roskam before continuing with more
visits and meetings tomorrow.”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
