Instructional Development Specialist position.

Reporting to the Educational Materials Manager, the Instructional
Development Specialist will help define and implement standards and best
practices for ISU Extension's educational and informational objectives. This
individual will possess the experience and skills to identify needed changes
in instructional design, content and flow to assist ISU Extension content
specialists in extending research based information. As part of the
Communications team, the Instructional Development Specialist will provide
consultative advice to specialists on most effective and accessible media
options, design interactive, Educational Materials learning opportunities,
and will create an instructional system that promotes Extension's offering
of learning opportunities, and will manage the documentation and content
within the system.

The responsibilities of this position will require interpersonal and
communications skills; the ability to work in a team and to establish
collegial relationships with faculty and staff; knowledge of emerging
technologies as related to teaching and learning; and awareness of usability
and accessibility considerations in instructional design.

Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult learning, instructional
systems designs, educational psychology or a closely related field. Minimum
three years experience in designing and/or developing programs. Must also
possess experience in using learning management systems (e.g.: Moodle).

Preference will be given to applicants that possess experience in
educational programs.
