As some of you may know, OUWB instructional designer Chris Keesey has left Ohio University for another position and is contractually prohibited from continuing work on the project. Lifelong Learning/Distance Learning is not (at least for now) hiring anyone to replace him, so we need to find someone to complete this project. There's good potential for future work on this and another project. Here's my non-technical (but, I hope, reasonably accurate) description of what needs to be done. The learning architecture is complete. Minor content revisions are needed for several instructor-facilitated courses. The bulk of the work will involve placing content and assessment tools into the shells for six self-paced modules. We have funds to employ someone on at least a half-time basis (but preferably more) starting immediately. We can pay a competitive hourly wage ($40-$50, depending on ability/experience). This might be a good position for someone who has recently completed a master's and is looking for a short-term contract. We'd consider a currently enrolled graduate student, assuming they could make the time commitment. I'm trying to get some more specifics on computer skills from Chris. Please ask anyone you know who you think may be interested to contact me, David Mould, at mould at ohio.edu and the Principal Investigator, Rafael Obregon, obregon at ohio.edu.
