Hi Graduates,

If you are working on a project, finishing your dissertation, or another
research project, this is the place to display your ideas and findings! I
would like to encourage you to take part in this event -- it is one of those
resume/vitae builders for when you look for future employment! :)

Stop by and talk to Dr. Moore or I about your research or idea if you aren't
sure and want some advice and help.

Dr. Franklin

*2009 Ohio University Student Research and Creative Activity Expo
Get your ideas growing!*

Encourage your students to show off their research, scholarship or creative
activity at the 9th Annual Ohio University Student Research and Creative
Activity Expo on Thursday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Convocation
Center.

*Be creative!* Posters, exhibits, performances, film screenings and other
presentation formats welcome!

The 2008 event featured more than 500 students in 45 individual categories,
with projects ranging from dancing puppets to a prototype for a flying car.
More than 1,000 students, faculty, staff, community members and local middle
and high school students attended the event to learn more about how Ohio
University students are engaged in research and creative activity.

*Who is eligible?*
Undergraduate, graduate and medical students and postdoctoral fellows from
all disciplines and university campuses.

*Can my student win prize money?*
Yes. Awards will be given for the best presentations in each category: $300
(1st prize) and $100 (2nd prize). Categories are limited to no more than 12
presentations and assigned by discipline. For sessions with undergraduate
and post-degree students, judges may elect to give two 1st prizes (one each
for an undergraduate and a post-degree student). In this case a 2nd place
prize will not be awarded.

*Free food and door prizes for all presenters! *

*For more information and to register*, visit the Web at * http://www.ohio.edu/research/students*.
