TECH CORPS is hiring Technology Instructors for its summer Techie Camp program Techie Camp is a full-day, week-long technology experience designed to engage students in activities that can stimulate a deeper interest in technology; as well as provide opportunities for them to express their imaginations. Techie Camp curriculum is designed to immerse rising 3rd – 5th and 6th – 8th grade students in hands-on, interactive activities designed to educate, excite and empower them with technology! Techie Camp instructors give students the knowledge, tools and confidence to become active designers and creators of technology. Dates/Time: Techie Camps are offered between June 6, 2011 and August 26, 2011. Hours: Techie Camps run Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (Instructors arrive at 8:00am and stay no later than 6:00pm), and a 6-8 hour training session prior to the start of camp Salary: up to $1000.00/per camp Locations: Techie Camp is offered via partnerships with colleges/universities, K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations in the following states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and District of Columbia. Instructors are able to select the location(s), topic(s) and week(s) they are interested in working. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified instructors must demonstrate proficiency in two or more of the following areas: * Android App Development * Graphic Arts and 2D or 3D Video Game Design * Programming (C++ and/or Java) * Robotics and Engineering * Web Design and Content Management Systems Interested candidates can learn more about the position and apply at: http://techcorps.org/jobs Interviews are being conducted now and final decisions are expected in April.
