Dear Graduate Chairs, Program Coordinators, and Admission Staff,****

The Graduate College, Graduate Student Senate (GSS), International Student
and Faculty Services (ISFS), the Office for Multicultural Student Access
and Retention (OMSAR) and Office of the Ombudsman invite any interested
graduate students to a networking/mentoring event called “GRADcats
eXchange” on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The purpose of the event is to
provide a networking/mentoring opportunity for graduate students and for
support offices to gain additional understanding of the experiences of Ohio
University graduate students. We are particularly interested in hearing
about the experiences of international, underrepresented, and
first-generation graduate students, although all graduate students are
invited.****

This networking event will be structured using the World Café model which
is a “conversational process for fostering dialogue, accessing collective
intelligence, and creating innovative possibilities for action” (Brown,
2005, p. 3). Please invite any graduate students that you think might be
interested to come and share their stories.****

GRADcats eXchange is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 10 to 11:30
AM in the Multicultural Center multipurpose room, Baker University Center,
room 203.****

For those who are interested, but unable to attend, this is just the first
of several events. We are planning to hold at least two additional events
during Spring quarter to accommodate others’ schedules. One will be
scheduled in the afternoon and one will be in the evening.****
